Date and nut butter bites covered in dark chocolate.
The easiest and yummiest healthy treat ever are these delicious bites.
They are my go to evening treat with a cup of herbal tea.
For 12 bites you will need:
12x medjool dates
12x teaspoons of any nut butter you like
12x walnuts halves or whole almonds
70-100 gr of dark chocolate
Method:
Prepare a freezer friendly tray with baking paper.
With the help of a knife cut the dates in half, take out the seeds and fill each date with 1 teaspoon of your chosen nut butter and the walnut/almond.
Place the dates on a rack with a plate or a paper underneath to cover them in dark chocolate.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a pan. Once it is melted, cover each date with a generous amount of dark chocolate.
Place the dates on the designated tray with baking paper and leave them on the freeze for at least 1 hour.
I highly recommend leaving them in the freezer and consuming frozen, just delish! Like a frozen dessert.
Optional: Sprinkle some seeds, buckwheat, coconut or chopped nuts.
